Bill Gates Admits Affairs and Talks About His Ties to Epstein in Recent Town Hall

In a candid town hall meeting with Gates Foundation employees, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates acknowledged having had affairs with two Russian women while married to his ex-wife Melinda French Gates. Gates also opened up about his past connection with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, defending himself against rumors but revealing more about his relationship with the convicted sex trafficker.

During the town hall, which was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, Gates admitted to the affairs but denied any involvement in Epstein’s alleged criminal activities. He stated, “I never spent any time with the victims” of Epstein’s sex trafficking operations, refuting claims that he had participated in or was aware of Epstein’s crimes.

Gates detailed his past relationships with a Russian bridge player and a Russian nuclear physicist, acknowledging that Epstein became aware of these affairs. This aligns with previous reports indicating that Epstein may have used the information to threaten Gates in the mid-2010s.

The tech mogul confirmed that he met Epstein several times from 2011 until 2014, well after Epstein had been convicted of soliciting a minor. Gates emphasized that he never stayed overnight at Epstein’s properties, never visited Epstein’s private island, and saw nothing “illicit” during their interactions.

Gates also addressed the ongoing criticism from his ex-wife Melinda, who had pointed out that his association with Epstein played a role in their divorce. According to Gates, Melinda “was always kind of skeptical about the Epstein thing.”

While Gates has faced scrutiny over his past relationship with Epstein, the billionaire has repeatedly insisted that his meetings with the financier were strictly for business and charitable purposes, particularly involving fundraising for the Gates Foundation.

In response to the reports about Epstein’s alleged abuse, Gates’s foundation issued statements rejecting the scandalous allegations, including those suggesting he used drugs or engaged in inappropriate behavior during his encounters with Epstein. Gates has further denied any participation in Epstein’s criminal activities, calling the claims “absolutely absurd and completely false.”

Gates’s ties to Epstein were first revealed through a series of documents released by the Department of Justice, including emails that show the two met regularly to discuss charitable endeavors. Although Epstein reportedly attempted to solicit Gates’s help for a charity fund with JPMorgan Chase, Gates distanced himself from Epstein’s plans, citing concerns about the financier’s reputation.

While the relationship between Gates and Epstein has raised many questions, there is no conclusive evidence that Gates participated in or had knowledge of Epstein’s criminal acts. Gates has denied ever visiting Epstein’s infamous private island, which was believed to be a location where Epstein abused minors.

Despite the controversy, Gates remains one of the wealthiest individuals globally, with an estimated net worth of $107.3 billion. He and Melinda French Gates have donated a combined $47.7 billion to charity, focusing primarily on global health and poverty alleviation through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

In the end, Gates’s story sheds light on the complex and at times troubling nature of his past ties to Epstein, while also defending his actions and emphasizing his commitment to philanthropy.
